Mama's Smoky Apple Maple Quiche

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (12 oz) GATC Smoky Apple Maple Breakfast Links
  • 2 + 1 tablespoons olive oil
  • Low Carb Pie Crust or whatever pie crust you’d prefer
  • 3/4 Pound Sliced Bacon
  • 10 Ounces Fresh Spinach
  • 1 Cup White Onion chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Mozzarella shredded
  • 1/2 Cup Cheddar shredded
  • 6 Large Eggs beaten
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 5 Dashes of Hot Sauce
  • 1.5 Teaspoons Salt
  • .5 Teaspoon Pepper

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
  2. Follow your pie crust baking instructions. Allow the crust to cool completely before adding any eggs.
  3. Add olive oil to a sauté pan over medium heat. Add links and cook covered for 5-8 minutes. Turn-over every 2 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165 °F. Remove turkey from pan and let rest for 3 minutes.
  4. Add olive oil and onion to skillet and cook until translucent (about 5 to 7 minutes).
  5. Add the spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted.
  6. Place cooked veggies on paper towels to collect any access liquid.
  7. Dice the turkey links.
  8. Add sausage, onions, and spinach to the pie crust.
  9. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs.
  10. Add the cream, hot sauce, salt, pepper, and cheese. Stir to combine.
  11. Pour mixture into the pie crust.
  12. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until it’s cooked through. You’ll know the quiche is done when the top begins to brown.
  13. Allow quiche to cool slightly before serving.
